Training Program 2022Training Program 2021

An Advanced Training workshop was held from 6th to 8th May 2022 to train a batch of more than 60 Advocates as Mediators. The 3 days training workshop was conducted under the aegis of Samadhan and under the guidance of Chairman of the overseeing committee, which was also attended by the three sitting Supreme Court Judges and 19 Judges from the Hon’ble High Court.

The Advanced training was conducted for the participants who had earlier completed their basic training with Samadhan and had taken practical experience with already trained mediators. During the training, the basic concepts of mediation were revisited, elaborated and expanded upon by the Samadhan Trainers and Hon’ble Judges, being the referral courts and recipients of the settlement agreements.

Advance training took the participants through the advanced principles of negotiation and various communication techniques, elaborated to equip the future team of empanelled mediators to deal with intricate issues of the conflicting parties in mediation. Training also focussed on the evolving dimensions of disputes resolution in family, matrimonial and custody disputes, cheque bouncing cases, commercial matters, Intellectual Property Rights disputes, Arb-Med/Arb-Med-Arb/Med-Arb and apprised the participants about the new mechanisms that could be used to facilitate settlement amongst parties.

Three interesting case studies were given to participants to draw-up settlement agreements so as to flag the importance of accurately drafted settlement agreements.
